These terms govern your use of clairfy.ai (the "Service") provided by Clairfy ("we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms.
What Clairfy does
Clairfy is a tool that analyzes images you upload and returns an opinion on whether they were generated by AI, along with a confidence bucket and a written rationale. The output is a machine-generated assessment — not a guarantee, not a legal determination, and not a substitute for human review.
Your use of the Service
- You agree not to upload content that you do not have the right to submit, including copyrighted material you don't own or license, illegal content, or content depicting minors in any sexualized context.
- You agree not to use the Service to harass, defame, or discriminate against any individual based on a detection result.
- You agree not to attempt to circumvent the rate limit or spend cap, or to interfere with the Service's operation.
- You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA/UK) to use the Service.
Accuracy and reliance
Our detection methodology is described in How it works. Every detector — ours included — can be wrong. You must not rely on a Clairfy verdict as the sole basis for any consequential decision (legal, employment, journalistic publication, content moderation action). Verify with additional methods and your own judgment.
Cost and limits
- Clairfy is free to use. There is no paid tier, nothing is billed, and no payment details are collected. A subscription and an ad-supported tier existed previously; both were switched off in August 2026.
- Use is subject to a per-visitor rate limit and a monthly ceiling on model spend, described on the limits page. Checks may be refused once either is reached.
- Because it runs as a free demo, the service is provided as-is with no availability guarantee and may be limited or withdrawn at any time.
Your content
You retain ownership of images you upload. By submitting an image, you grant us a limited license to process it through our analysis pipeline, store it (per our privacy policy), and return results to you. We do not claim ownership of your images and we do not use them to train models.
Service availability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make reasonable efforts to keep it running but make no uptime guarantee. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clairfy is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any direct damages is capped at the amount you've paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time from the user menu.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be noted by updating the "Last updated" date above.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of residence of the operator, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
